You can't improve what you can't see.

You can feel when a shot doesn't go right. But knowing why is another story.

Your preparation might be too late. Your contact point might be off. Your body position might be costing you power. Small technical issues can be difficult to spot when you're the one playing.

Without seeing what's actually happening, you're left guessing what to fix.

BadmintonIQ is a video analysis tool designed to help badminton players better understand their game. You record a game, session or shot, and it turns the footage into personalised insights: what's working, what's holding you back, and what to practise next.

BadmintonIQ uses computer vision to analyse your movement and technique from videos you record. It examines how you move, position yourself and execute your shots throughout rallies, turning your footage into insights you can use to improve.

BadmintonIQ analyses your technique, court positioning, movement, attacking and recovery habits, and shot patterns. Feedback is tied to what actually happened in your video, so you know what to focus on next.

You can start with video recorded on a phone. For the most useful analysis, your full body should remain visible throughout the footage and the camera should have a clear view of the court. We'll provide guidance on the best camera position and recording setup.

Yes. BadmintonIQ is designed to work with your phone. If possible, use a tripod to keep the phone steady and make sure you remain in view throughout the session.

No. A coach provides expertise and context that video analysis can't replace. BadmintonIQ complements that by letting you see your own movement and positioning, making it easier to understand what you're doing differently and how far you may be from the ideal.

BadmintonIQ is designed for players who want to understand and improve their game, whether you're still learning the fundamentals or playing regularly. The insights can help you identify patterns in your play and give you a clearer idea of what to focus on during your next session.

BadmintonIQ is designed to provide useful, consistent insights from your video, but it isn't perfect. Video quality, camera position, lighting, and other players or objects blocking the view can affect the analysis. We're constantly working to improve the technology and will be transparent about what it can and can't reliably detect.

Stop leaving the court guessing. See what's working, what's costing you rallies, and exactly where to put your next hour of practice.
